Hello Everyone,
Throughout the duration of this particular week, I have had the
distinct privilege in becoming more familiar with the utilization of
various podcast and screencast tools. In particular, I utilized the
RecordMP3 tool in which effectively allowed for me to record a 45-60 second
podcast and express my opinions within the notions of digital responsibility and
digital citizenship. In addition, with my previous experiences in utilizing
podcasting tools (i.e., Audacity), this particular opportunity gave me ability
to experience podcasting and screencasting tools in which I was never familiar
with before this week’s ADED 1P32 lesson. Moreover, this experience permitted
for an individual such as me to truly appreciate the various avenues that ultimately
provide individuals with the ability to connect with others via verbal
communication. Similarly, it also made me realize that it is also just as
important for every individual using these technological means to treat other
users with the dignity and respect for which they rightly deserve as digital
citizens.
The utilization of the RecordMP3 tool also permitted for me to acquire a
greater understanding within the notion of sharing information with others in
which ultimately is respectful, insightful, and does not bring some form of
harm. Furthermore, engaging with others throughout the online realm is a gift
in which permits for citizens throughout the world to interact and engage with
one another; imposing the fact that being a caring and honorable digital
citizen is of high importance.
