Week 10: My Slideshow!

Hello Everyone,

This week I was able to utilize a very interesting and highly interactive tool called Animoto. In particular, this highly interactive and engaging tool allowed for me to collect copyright friendly pictures in which evidently pertained to the notion of copyright; ultimately enhancing my own digital literacy, digital responsibility, and digital citizenship. Moreover, an individual such as me was able to properly cite the eight pictures in which I was able to find throughout the realm of the internet. Thus, this particular action allowed for me to realize how important it is for any individual to understand the notion of digital literacy when collaboratively using someone else’s resources or work an individual makes himself or herself. More importantly, putting forth this effort during the assigned learning activities in the ADED 1P32 course, I was able to reinforce my own values that putting in the required effort allows for any individual to feel a true sense of accomplishment and pride.

As this activity was completed, I was also able to enhance my understanding within the realms of digital responsibility and digital citizenship. To exemplify, researching various topics in which relates to the notion of copyright (i.e., Referencing) permitted for an individual like me to revaluate the importance of being responsible and respectful to not only myself, but to others in which actively engage within the digital realm. Thus, personally, I feel that this week’s exercise within the ADED 1P32 course added to my beliefs and values that evidently reside within the digital world. Furthermore, feel free to check out this quick slideshow I made through Animoto:

Thanks for reading and watching,

Cole Pettem
